Current Research

Current research is in three general domains. The first pertains to individual and team training with a focus on complex skill acquisition and factors related to minimizing skill decay and enhancing retention. This line of research also focuses on training design features and their relationship to the effectiveness of organizational training. So as an example, the objective of a one current project is to investigate the efficacy of after-action-reviews. The second research domain focuses on testing, selection, validation, and associated methodological issues including but not limited to meta-analysis. The third research area, focuses on the identification and examination of individual difference variables related to driving behaviors and vehicle crash involvement. This research also examines the impact of the different methodologies used in the investigation of these topics.
