Current Research

Genetics -- I am currently investigating differentiation of various psychological disorders by allelic variation in the promoter region of the serotonin transporter gene (5-HTTLPR).
Cross-Cultural Assessment -- I am interested in the relationship between acculturative stress and ethnic identity to: a.)coping responses to stress, b.)the perception of discrimination, c.)body image dissatisfaction, d.)disordered eating among college women.
Eating Disorders -- Currently, I am investigating the personality traits of bulimic women and if these traits moderate/mediate the relationship between bulimia and a variety of its correlates.
