ARMADILLO 2017, a Southwest regional conference for cognition and cognitive neuroscience research, will be held at Texas A&M University on Friday, October 13, and Saturday, October 14, 2017 (https://sites.google.com/tamu.edu/armadillo-conference-2017/). Some information about the conference is provided below. The number of attendees, research talks, and posters planned for ARMADILLO 2017 at Texas A&M University has reached critical mass, and the conference is shaping up well.
You will be registered for the ARMADILLO conference once we receive your registration fee.
Faculty (or anyone with a Ph.D.) – $120
Students (anyone without a Ph.D.) – $90
To get these early registration rates, please register by October 1. Later registration will cost $5 more. Please register early if you can, and if you have not already contacted Steve Smith, please email him (email@example.com), or put your information online so we’ll know if you are planning to attend.
Registration fees for all attendees will cover all talks and poster sessions, continental breakfast and beverages both days, and the conference dinner Friday evening.
Unfortunately, our financial services office does not allow us to accept credit or debit card payments for registration. Yes, this is quite a throwback, and we are very sorry about this; please accept our apologies. Fees must be paid in the form of cash or a check. (Sorry!)

We will email you a receipt, and/or you can get a receipt when you get to the conference. A registration table will be outside of the conference meeting room.
The conference hotel is The George, 180 Century Court, College Station, Texas, 77840, for reservations call (844) 599-3871. Attendees can call Reservations and reference either the ARMADILLO Conference or the group code AC4465. You can also make reservations on the hotel website (www.thegeorgetexas.com) using the group code AC4465. Please make your reservation by Thursday, September 21 to get the negotiated rate of $139.
CONFERENCE MEETING ROOM LOCATION
The talks and poster sessions for ARMADILLO will be in the New Garden Room (Room 1130) of the Texas A&M University Student Recreation Center (http://recsports.tamu.edu/). The nearest parking lot is 100J, and the South entrance is closest to the Garden Room.
Day-passes for parking on campus will allow you to park at lots 104, 100j or WCG (West Campus Garage), which are all adjacent to the Student Recreational Center, where the conference meetings will be held. Please visit http://transport.tamu.edu/Parking/visitor.aspx to purchase visitor parking.
CONFERENCE DINNER FRIDAY
The ARMADILLO Conference dinner, Friday evening at 7:00, will be at the Brazos Cotton Exchange (200 S Main St, Bryan, TX 77803, http://www.brazoscottonexchange.com/) in downtown Bryan, about 6 miles from the conference meeting room on the Texas A&M University campus. The dinner will be catered by Mad Taco (http://www.madtaco.com/). Dinner is covered by your registration fee.
We will have two guest speakers, Jonathan Schooler (UC-Santa Barbara), who will speak Friday at 1:15, and Debra Titone (McGill University), who will give her address on Saturday at 10:15. In addition, a full schedule of research talks is planned for Friday (9:00 to 5:10) and Saturday (9:00 to 2:10). A complete schedule will be listed on the ARMADILLO website.
There will be two poster sessions, one on Friday from 2:30 to 3:45, and a second on Saturday from 2:10 to 3:00.
