In general, my research interests take a functional perspective of effects on cognition and behavior. I have a diverse portfolio working with all manner of fields, with projects in multiple areas of psychology: social, cognitive, clinical, organizational, and beyond. Statistics and analysis has been a primary thrust in what I study, and they inform the research questions that I ask about individuals (and the environment that drives them). I have dipped my feet into ostracism experiences, affective science, psychological disorders, individual decision-making, and the psychology of procrastination, all of which I examine in basic and applied contexts.
